Beijing: a day in the city

Average traffic of Beijing, China....it's best to ride a bike.

Beijing: at night

This road near the Tienanmen Palace is filled with street-food vendors. There's food as fare as the eye can see, and fried starfish was one of the many things I tried.

Like fried scorpion, fried starfish is salty. The way that I am eating it in the photo is incorrect (I was only posing for the camera). The correct way to eat starfish is to break off each leg and open them with your fingers. You will find meat inside of each leg.

Good Eats: China Style

This is a bad example of my cooking. I believe that I over cooked the soup.

This meal was a disaster. Period. Normally, I am open to all foods with a few acceptions (pig feet and liver), however this meal was terrible, haha! It's a noodle-stuffed omelet topped with catchup and mayonnaise with a side of mystery balls. Disappointed, I went home and cooked.

This bowl of noodles is your average meal in Hong Kong. I took a picture of this particular bowl because it was my favorite yet!

This was an interesting moment in Beijing, hahaha. For the record, scorpion are salty and crunchy. There is no real taste or flavor, however, the claws are the best parts.
